SS622E-PV-A/B Silicone Structural Sealant

  1. DESCRIPTION

SS622E-PV-A / B is a neutral curing silicone structural sealant specially designed for photovoltaic bi-facial glass modules and photovoltaic curtain wall structural sealing. It complies with the European structural adhesive standard ETAG002 and has excellent structural bonding performance and weather resistance. Aging performance: After the artificial accelerated weathering test, the physical and chemical properties of the sealant, and after the artificial accelerated weathering test, the physical and chemical properties of the sealant have not changed significantly. When in use, SS622E-PV-A / B is constructed with a dedicated two-component sealant. The two components are mixed in accordance with the specified ratio and cured to form an elastomer.

  1. FEATURES
  • Neutral curing, non-corrosive to metal and glass;
  • Excellent weathering resistance, with a service life of 30 years under normal weather conditions;
  • The product has excellent high and low temperature weather resistance. After curing, it will not become brittle, harden or crack at low temperature of -50 ℃, and will not soften and degrade at 150℃.
  • Has excellent adhesion to most building materials, and generally does not require the use of a primer;

  1. Precautions for use
  • Not suitable for all materials that can exudate grease, plasticizer or solvent, such as the surface of oil-soaked wood
  • Not suitable for frosty or wet surfaces
  • It should not be used in places with continuous water immersion or humid places all year round.
  • When the surface temperature of the material is lower than 10 ℃ or higher than 40 ℃, it is not suitable for construction
  • Avoid contact with rubber materials (such as rubber strips, rubber pads, etc.) to avoid yellowing
  • Avoid contact with acidic or alkaline substances (such as exterior wall cleaning solution) to avoid discoloration

  1. COLOUR
  • SS622E A component is white. SS622E B component is black.
  • After mixing, color is black.

  1. Curing time
  • The mixing ratio of SS622E is A: B = 12 ~ 14: 1 (mass), and the recommended mixing ratio is A: B = 10: 1 (volume). Increasing the proportion of component B can increase the curing speed, but it must not exceed the above range, otherwise it will cause abnormal curing or reduce the sealant performance.
  • After the two components are mixed, the entire colloid begins to undergo a cross-linking reaction, which is not affected by external humidity. The surface drying time is related to the mixing ratio of the A and B components. Generally, the best strength can be achieved after 7 days.

  1. LIMITATIONS

SS622E Silicone Structural Sealant should not be applied:

◆ To building materials that bleed oils, plasticizers, or solvents– materials such as impregnated wood, oil-based caulks, green or partially vulcanized rubber gaskets or tapes

◆ In totally confined spaces as the sealant requires atmospheric moisture for cure

◆ When surface temperatures exceed 60°C(140°F)

◆ Where painting of the sealant is required, as the paint film may crack and peel

◆ To surfaces in contact with food- this sealant does not comply with Federal Food and Drug Administration food-additive regulations

◆ In below-grade applications

◆ For use as an interior penetration fire stop sealing system

◆ In horizontal floor joints where abrasion and physical abuse are likely to be encountered

◆ To frost-laden or damp surfaces

◆ For continuous immersion in water

  1. EXPIRATION DATE AND STORAGE

When stored at or below 27ºC(80ºF)in the original unopened containers, this product has a usable life of 6 months from the date of manufacture.

  1. ATTENTION
  • Check the Material Safety Data Sheet(MSDS) before using the product.
  • Sealant products are not toxic after fully cured, but should avoid contact with eyes before curing. If contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water and consult a doctor. uncured products should be kept out of contact with children. The product will release small molecular substances during the curing process, and ventilation should be paid attention to in the construction and curing areas to prevent the concentration of small molecular substances from being too bad for people.
